2003 – The Origins
Faro Srl was founded in 2003 in Santa Maria di Sala, in the heart of Italy’s Veneto industrial district—but its true story begins much earlier.
In the late 1970s, when industry was still ruled by analog systems and the word “digital” sounded like science fiction, the future founders of Faro were already pushing the limits of what was possible. Working with the now-legendary Z80 microprocessor, they began designing and building some of Italy’s first electronic pantographs. Those were years of pioneering spirit, when everything—hardware, software, and even belief—had to be built from scratch.
That early spark never faded. It became the flame that ignited a clear vision: to create a company dedicated to designing and producing cutting-edge CNC machines, with precision engineering and the signature craftsmanship of Italian design at its core.
The founding of Faro wasn’t just the birth of a company—it was the natural evolution of a dream, nurtured over decades with intuition, perseverance, precision, and passion.

- Micromachining solutions for fine jewelry, capable of handling delicate sheets as thin as 0.15 mm
